Project Description: Sfze: 1b0 acres ' <br />Underground mine expansion with some potential for surface subsidence. <br />Topography: South slope of Grand Mesa. North Fork of the Gunnison River. Extreme <br />local relief. Most of area is sloping greater than 20$. Few level areas. <br />Vegetation• Mostly juniper mixed with very dense snowberry and Gamble's oak. <br />Very few open areas. A variety of other shrubs and grass are present. <br />4, Examination Procedure: Pre-field check on 7/23/82. Negative results. Pedestrian <br />survey using two archaeologist. Spacing varied with emphasis placed on finding <br />areas where the ground was visible and the arc haeolo isL could travel Lhrough and <br />still watch the ground surface.
