The Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, for
consideration of the Line Camp Pit application has been scheduled to occur during the
Mav 23-24, 2001 Board meeting at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318, Denver, Colorado,
commencing at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard. Parties and
Interested Persons are encouraged to contact DMG staff member Wally Erickson at the
DMG Durango Office, phone [phone], on May 21, 2001, to be informed of the
specific date of the hearing.
A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled for Mav 15, 2001, at the Dolores Town
Hall, 420 Central Avenue, Dolores, Colorado, commencing at 1:00 p.m. The purpose of
the Pre-hearing Conference is to identify the parties, witnesses and exhibits for the
hearing and to identify the issues to be considered by the Board at the hearing.
On April 10, 2001, the public comment period for the amended Line Camp Pit application
closed. As staff to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board), the Division of
Minerals and Geology (DMG) forwarded copies of all objection letters to the application
amendment, to the staff member of the Attorney General's Office assigned to the Board,
and to the Pre-hearing Conference Officer appointed to preside at the Pre-hearing
Conference. Copies of the following documents were forwarded to the AGO for the
Board and to the Pre-hearing Conference Officer on April 11, 2001:
List of Objections & Permitting Dates, updated April 11, 2001;
List of Parties and Interested Persons;
Objection letter from David B. Wuchert, dated April 3, 2001, received by DMG on
April 4, 2001;
Objection letter from Leslie M. Sesler & Timothy D. Hovezak, dated April 5, 2001,
received by DMG on April 9, 2001;
