DITCH C15
Channel Type: Trapezoidal, Equal Side Scopes
Dimensions: Left Side Slope 2.00:1
Right Side Slope 2.00:1
Base Dimension: 2.00
Wetted Perimeter: 2.82
Area of Wetted Cross Section: 0.44
Discharge: 1.70 cfs
Depth of Flow: 0.18 feet
Velocity: 3.90 fps
Channel Lining: GRASS
• Freeboard: 0.30 feet
DITCH C16
This ditch is an overflow ditch for the inlet to the permanent West Lateral Ditch pipeline. It is meant to
handle 20.0 cfs which is the maximum flow of the West Lateral Ditch. It only runs if there is a clog or
an emergency in the pipeline or a system flush creates more flow than the pipeline can handle. The
ditch is steep since it runs north to Tuttle Draw near 2700 Road. The ditch has an 8.0 feet bottom width,
1.5:1 sideslopes and a 5 feet depth. The bottom of the ditch is on bedrock so even though the slope of
the channel is greater than 20% (24%), no erosion occurs.
DITCH C17
Time of Concentration (SCS Method)
Curve Number: 78
Length of Flow (ft): 2636.71
•
REVISED MARCH 2006
Attachment 2.05.3(3)-1-33
