Long <br />Re: Colorado Gravel Products Pit, File M-1999-117, Informal Conference, Pre-hearing Conference, Division Dnerrnr <br />Formal Public Hearing. <br />Dear Mrs. McCormick, <br />Today was the rescheduled Informal Conference for the above-named site, which was held by telephone conference <br />call, at 2:00 p.m. You were not able to participate, nor be informed of the next steps which are to occur. This letter <br />will briefly list a few of the upcoming parts of the application review process. <br />1. Within five (5) days of today's Informal Conference this Division must receive any additional information <br />regarding new issues and/or new parties, pertinent to the decision on the permit application. New information must <br />be in writing and received here by Monday, April 17, 2000. <br />2. This Division will schedule aPre-hearing Conference, which will likely be held during the second week of May. <br />A Pre-hearing Conference Officer, who is designated by the Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board), will set a <br />tentative agenda for the later Hearing. The Officer will decide which issues are within our jurisdiction and are to be <br />heard, and will arrange the order for speaking and time allotted to each speaker. The date and time of the Pre- <br />hearing Conference, once set, will not be rescheduled. You will be formally notified of the time and date of that <br />conference. <br />3. The Division will schedule a Formal Public Hearing before the Board, to be held during the May 24-2~, 2000, <br />meeting in Denver. It is that Hearing which affords objecting parties and/or members of the public a chance to <br />speak to the Board. The dates of the Board meeting are already set, and cannot be changed.
