A
straw mulch will be applied at the rate of two (2) tons per acre on the
seeded areas and crimped into the topsoil. As previously discussed,
the railroad siding will be established as an industrial site as the
post-mining land use.
The Denver and Rio Grande Railroad has previously agreed to the
post-mining land use of industrial site.
Protection of Hydrologic Balance
As indicated on Figure 1, Town Loadout Facility Location, Empire Energy
has installed a surface water sediment control system to gather and
retain runoff from the facility area. In order to protect the
• hydrologic balance, the drainage and sediment control system will remain
intact until all the coal material is removed from the site.
Reclamation Timetable
Time schedule for all proposed reclamation activities is presented on
Figure 2, Town Loadout Facility Reclamation Timetable.
r
-5R-
