,,~.
iii iuiiiiiniii iii
999
October 7, 1997
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board - "-' - "
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 2I5 OCI ~ q 1991
Denver, Colorado 80203
. w..... ..~ ..x,10' J..o G: l:i,- J~J.
Re: Hall Irwin Construction Co.
Section 36, T1N-R67W
Section 31, T 1 N-R66W
Dear Sir:
Batas Oil, Inc. received a copy today of the Public Notice from Tuttle Applegate,
Inc. regarding a request for permit for mining operations on the referenced lands. This
letter is intended to address Batas Oil, Inc.'s concern and interest with Hall Irwin
Construction Co.'s proposed operations. Enclosed are three Oil and Gas Leases covering
the property, the first one is dated November 12, 1990 between Wilma V. Moore and
Louis J. Gallery, the second lease is dated May 30, 1991 between David D. Dersham and
Batas Oil, [nc. and the third lease is dated May 31, 1991 between Bernice Larson and
Batas Oil, Inc. Under the Oil and Gas Leases, Batas has the right to explore for, drill and
produce oil and gas along with all rights and easements necessary for conducting
operations. Within the last year Batas has drilled three wells in the Northeast Quarter of
Section 36 that have proven to be very productive wells. Our plans are to continue
drilling one well at a time within the geological trend that seems to be running in a
southeasterly direction. Our fourth quarter drilling plans include two additional wells
scheduled to be drilled within the subject property. Enclosed are survey plats for the well
site locations.
Batas will require approximately three acres for its drilling and completion
operations that are tentatively scheduled for November. To maintain operation on the
wells, Batas will need seventy-five feet surrounding each well with ingress and egress.
The desired road width to service each well and tank battery facility is forty feet. The
tank battery facility will encompass an area of approximately 100 feet by 150 feet. A
fifty foot wide strip will be used to construct the flowline from each well to the tank
battery facility. After the line is constructed the easement can be reduced to twenty five
feet. Either Duke Energy or Vessels Pipeline Company will run a pipeline to our facility
to transport the gas.
2500 WEST 29TH STREET • GREELEY, CO 80631 • PHONE (970) 330-5699 FAX (970) 330-5788
