Runoff volume and sedimen[ yield calculations were performed utilizing the SEDCAD+
computer model consistent with the methodology previously discussed in this Exhibit. The
catchment ditch was designed to contain the total runoff from a 10-year, 24-hour storm event.
2.1 Hydrology Inputs
The CN numbers used were obtained from Procedures for Determining Peak Flows in Colorado
and Technical Release No. 55. Based on soil type and vegetation cover, curve numbers were
determined for the following condition.
Revege[ated
Soil Type: B
Ground Cover: <30 96, poor
Cover Type: Herbaceous
CN: 80
All other hydrology inputs are shown on the attached SEDCAD+ computer printouts
2.2 Hydrology Results
Total Runoff: 0.01 ac-ft
• 2.3 SedimentoloPy Inputs and Results
All sedimentology inputs are shown on the attached SEDCAD+ computer printouts
Storm Sediment Yield: 1.1 tons
Annual Sedimen[ Yield =(56.5/42.0)(1,1 cons)(2000 Ib/ton)(1 ft'/60 lbs)(1 ac-ft/43,560 ft~
- .001 ac-h
2.4 Total Recfuired Storage Volume
0.01 ac-ft (runoff) + 0.001 ac-k (sediment) = 0.011 ac-ft
2.5 Ditch Capacity
(100 foot long triangular ditch, 1.9 feet deep with 2H:IV sideslopes, 7.6 feet cop width
and .3 foot freeboard)
2 (1.6)' (100) / (43560) - 0.012 ac-ft
•
>~
C:\..V67rA1dAPP
tvosns t~ Rtvised -November 1993
