<br />' Mined Land Wildlife Statement <br />For Limited Impact Operation Permil (110 * and 110d) or <br />Regular Operations Permit (112 and 112d) <br />Instructions to the Applicant: Submit this Wildlife Statement to DIvILR as pan of the MLRD application. <br />' Instructions to DOW District Wildlife Manager: Review the anached Applicant's Questionnaire, complete this <br />form, and send both back to the Regional Office. <br />' Instructions to DOW Rep~pnal Staff: Send completed copies of both the Applicant's Questionnaire and Wildlife <br />Statement along with pertinent correspondence to the applicant, OMLR, and DWM. <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by the Mined land Reclamation Board in its <br />consideration of a mining permit for: <br />1. Name and type of mine:Delta Paving Gravel Pit - <br />' 2. Location of mine:NEl/4 Sec 10 SEl/4 Sec 3 T ISS R.95W .6th PM. Delta County <br />' 3. List threatened or endangered species (federal or state) and other species of special concern present: <br />' Bald eagles and river otter occupy habitat in this reach of the Gunnison River as do great blue heron and other <br />sensitive species. The shrub/tree riparian vegetation complex is one of if not the most limited vegetation types in <br />the Great Basin portion of Colorado. The result is the greatest diversity of wildlife species are usually present in <br />' this vegetation type. <br /> <br />1 <br />t 4. Assess expected impacts to fish and wildlife populations and habitat from project: <br />Sequential mining and reclamation as planned will reduce or eliminate measurable impacts to wildlife resulting <br />' from this operation. <br />II <br />' (OVER) <br />110 Limited Impact Operation Permits aze not required to submit a wildlife statement, but it is preferred. <br /> <br />
