•
Exhibit E Reclamation Plan
Rilev Gravel Fit
Lt is proposed that the pit area he reclaimed as dry rangeland.
The reclamation work twill begin by reshaping and contouring the
pit area to conform as closely as possible with adjacent lands and
natural surroundings. This work will be done with a dozer and will leave
the area with adequate drainage and no bank which exceeds a slope of
5:1 horizontal to vertical. The maximum anticipated depth of the pit
after mining is twenty-five (25) feet. No haul roads exist within the
lease tract.
Topsoil will he hauled to the site and spread over the affected
area to an approximate dept} of Eour (4) inches. This work will be
done using dozers and a uniform seedbed will be prepared. A.11 disturbed
areas will be seeded, using a grass drill, at a rate of 8 pounds per acre,
~~iith a mixture of 80% western wheatgrass and _°0% annual rye grass.
It is anticipated to have the Riley Gravel Pit reclaimed by the
end of 1983.
