EXHIBIT A - Legal Description

Upon approval, the proposed sand and gravel pit will be located within the
following leased land: The NE',SW', and NW';SE', of Section 2, Township 7 North,
Range 54 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Logan County, Colorado.
EXHIBIT B - Mining Plan
Upon approval, the proposed sand and gravel pit will be operated as an open pit.
Field inspection of the proposed site area by the local Soil Conservation Service
District Conservationist has indicated that there is intermittent topsoil at the
site, thus permitting, where practical, the striping and stockpiling of topsoil
for future reclamation efforts. The proposed site will be excavated with con-
ventional equipment. Specifically, the following equipment is owned and operated
by Logan County, and could be used individually or in combination at the site:
D7 Caterpillar; W26 John Deere Loader; 125 B Michigan Loader; 930 Caterpillar
Loader; D6 Caterpillar Bulldozer; 645 D John Deere Loader.
Following extraction, the sand and gravel from the site will be screened at the
site. Logan County owns and operates the following screening equipment, which
may be used individually or in combination: Abco Screener; Peerless Screener;
and a Coleman Screener.
Following screening, the sand and gravel from the site may be stockpiled for
future use in the County asphalt plant. If stockpiling becomes necessary, it
will be in the westcentr•al portion of the permit area. Regardless, any stock-
piling would be within the~pe rniit area.
Access to the proposed site will be by way of an existing private road, which
will be maintained by Logan County. The haul road will link the site to a County
road to the south and to Colorado State Highway 14 to the north, and will not
traverse any cropland.
