SUBJECT: COREY, CEDAR CREEK AND HOGBACK PITS, MONTROSE COUNTY,
APPLICATIONS FOR LIMITED-IMPACT MINING AND RECLAMATION
PERMITS
As requested by your office, we have reviewed the application for three
county-owned grave! pits near Montrose. The applicant has provided in-
sufficient information concerning his use of water in the proposed mining
operations. If water will be required for dust control, gravel washing,
irrigation, sanitation or other purposes, we recommend that the Board be
provided with additional information concerning the sources and amounts
of water to be used, If water will not be required, we recommend ai~proval
of the applications.
