Do you plan to affect clear creek? <br />2) Reclamation Plan <br />at or your ponds do you plan to have a 3:1 slope fran <br />five feet above the water s~rfaee to 10 ft. below? If <br />the City of Empire, Colorado wants to usd these ponds <br />as water storage facllitlas, Justify that the slopes <br />can be steeper. <br />b. What wlil the sYze of each pond be? <br />c. How many acres will be Ilackfllled, graded. topsolled <br />and seeded? <br />d. Instead of 4 Inches a minimum of 6 to 8 Inches of topsoil <br />should be distributed over the reclaimed area. <br />e. How much water will be lost from the ponds due to evap- <br />oration loss and do you have water rights to compensate <br />this? <br />f. I recommend the following seed mixture: <br />Tali wheatgrass - 3 lbs. P.L.S Per Acre <br />Smooth Brome - 1.5 lbs. P.L.S. Per Acre <br />Tall Pescue - 1 lb. P.L.S, Per Acre <br />+ 1N Blydsfoot trefoil <br />g. Native trees and shrubs such as cottonwood and willow <br />should also be planted at 5 in a bun eh 20 ft. apart. <br />h. Does the City of Empire, Colorado want to use this as a <br />water storage facility? If they are, show specific plans <br />as to how they w111 accomplish this. <br />1.
