Request for Proposals
Ref: Earthworfc and topsoil placement at the Varna Gravel Pit, North Clay Pit Site
Proposals are hereby requested to do earthwork and spreading of topsoil material at the Varna Gravel
Pit, North Clay P:t site, located at the south end of 66th Street, 2.0 miles southwest of the Town
of Superior. This property is owned by the City ofBoulder Open Space Department (See attached
Location Map).
Deadline for Proposals
Sealed Proposals shall be delivered to Glenn Carriere, Project Manager, located at Ciity ofBoulder
Open Space Deparnment, Cherryvale Operations Center, 66 South Cherryvale Road, Boulder, CO
80306, not later then 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 1996.
The Contractor a~'rces by submitting a Proposal to begin work not later than April 1, 1995 and be
completed not later than April 19, 1996.
Site Visit -Pre-proposa111-Ieeting
There will be a site visit -pre-proposal meeting on March 14, 19951eaving at 10:00 a.m. from
Cherryvale Operatons Center, 66 South Cheryvale Road.

Each item of the w^-k outlined below shall be provided a unit price cost. Lump Sum bi<I for any item
will not be acceo;^-!.
Proposed Work
The proposed work has been divided into two Phases with Phase I being the Southwe:rt 5 acres and
Phase II being the ~nst 7 acres and Stockpile area (5 acres) (see attached Proposal No. 1, 2 pages).
The quamities outlined below are for estimating purposes. Actual earthwork and top:foil quamities
