Monks Construction Company - "R.E. Monks Plant No. 1" <br />F11e No. 83-193 <br />Dear Mr. O'Connor: <br />This letter is being written in response to your request received on <br />January 18, 1984 concerning possible restrictions on our permit for the above <br />captioned operation. In order to properly answer your question, I need t9 <br />outline the status of this operation. <br />On December 15, 1983, the Mined Land Reclamation Board approved a permit <br />appllcatlon for this 35-acre site and set the amount of the financial warranty <br />at ;18,450.00. On January 26, 1983, the Board approved a technical revision <br />request by Pioneer Sand Co., Inc. to delete these same 35 acres from their <br />larger permit (No. 71-174) pending receipt of the proper financial and <br />performance warranties from R.E. Monks Construction Company. Unt11 the permit <br />is issued to R.E. Monks Construction Co., these 35 acres remain a part of <br />permit number 77-174. To date, the warranty package has not been received <br />from R.E. Monks Construction Company. <br />Our permit contains no restrictions on off-site movement of gravel at this <br />time. When a permit is issued to R.E. Monks Construction Co., there will be <br />no such restriction in it. The Board's jurisdiction does not extend beyond <br />the permit boundaries, and the approved permit appllcatlon concerns mining and <br />reclamation on-site.
