1
July 7, 2005
Mr. and Mrs. Harrell Ridley
26960 Highway 101
Las Animas, Colorado 81054
Dear Harrell and Ollie:
Bent County has submitted an application for a regular 112 operation reclarnation permit
to be designated as the Ridley Gravel Pit which will be located within Sections 33 and
34, Township 24 South, Range 51 West of the 6~' P. M., in Bent County, Colorado.
Pursuant to the requirements of Rule 1.6.2 (1) (d) (e) of the application process all
owners of record of surface rights to the affected land and all owners of record of lands
that are within 200 feet of the boundary of the affected land are to be notified of this
application and are to be furnished with a copy of the published legal notioe concerning
this pit application.
Please find enclosed a copy of the legal notice as published on July 7, 2005; please note
that this represents a re-publication of a legal notice originally published commencing
Mav 26, 2005. With the exception of publication dates noted and a change in the date for
comments to be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology (from July 6, 2005 to
August 17, 2005) the legal notice remains unchanged. The necessity for this re-
publication was brought about because of a small technical change requimd within the
application which required that the mine location be identified by what is known as
Universal Tranverse Mercator.
A full copy of the application is on file in the Office of the Bent County Clerk and
Recorder and can be reviewed during normal courthouse hours, Monday through Friday,
8:30 A. M. to 4:30 P. M.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the E3ent County
Administrator's Office at 456-2223.
Yours truly,
FOR THE BENT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Frank R. Bryant
