~~ .~ In September 1988, the initial long-term ash disposal site west of Johnson Gulch was reclaimed. The
" disposal site east of Johnson Gulch is still in use. The disposal site draining into Middle Pyeatt
drainage was approved in TR-58 (submitted November 1991). Map M47A shows the location of all
disposal sites. These sites are maintained in accordance wRh the disposal criteria stated earlier.
Derringer and Enfield Pits
Figures 4.3-25 and 4.3-26 show cross-sections for the cuts with the critical pft crest elevations in
Derringer and Enfield Pits. Utility wastes may be placed anywhere in the pits, including the pit floor,
so long as the wastes are at least ten feet above the criical pit crest elevation.
4.3.5 Postmine Land Use of Disposal Sties
Trapper Mine will not have a single waste disposal sde. Each pit can be considered a disposal site,
as waste products will be disposed of in nearly every cut. The amount of waste disposed in each cut
is relatively small. All waste will have at least five feet of cover plus topsoil. This depth is sufficient to
minimize the chance of any harmful material reaching the surface. These sties are, therefore, not
given special consideration for postminig land use (refer to Section 4.2).
.•
4-100 Revision: n,2-!ln(o
Approved: NOV 1 6 195}3
