Mine
File No. M-88-042, 517, T2N, R68W of the 6th P.M.
Dear ]?at:
A:a a follow-up to my letter of July 22nd, we have been in
contact with Mr. Frank Graham of Western Paving Company concern-
ing t~vo laterals of the Smith and Emmons Ditch which serve
property owned by Cottonwood Land and Farms north of the proposed
Western Paving pit. The laterals, which are currently fed from
the main ditch just upstream of the Burlington Northern R-O-W,
will xequire relocation due to the proposed Phase I and Phase V
mining.
Mx. Graham has forwarded us two blueline prints of the
proposed alignment for the relocated portion of the laterals,
which indicate ditch slopes of 0.13 to 0.19 percent. Our only
concern is the ability of the proposed laterals to deliver
historical irrigation flows to the property. Mr. Graham has
indic:sted the new ditches will be "tested" with irrigation water
prior to removal of the existing ditches.
The purpose of this letter is to advise you of the progress
of ou:r discussions. If you have any questions, please call me at
the phone number shown above.
Very Truly Yours,
~~
`R.oy H.` Johnson
Agent for Cottonwood
Land and Farms
cc: Mr. Frank Graham, Western Paving Construction Company
