The soils <br />for the most part are shallow, less than 20 inches, ^_alcareous <br />and well drained. Slopes range from about 15 to 65 per cent with <br />same near vertical cliffs where quarrying has been done. <br />The so_1 has a dark reddish brawn very gravelly sandy loom surface <br />layer about 5 inc'res chick. The underlying material is reddish <br />Crown very gravelly fine sandy loam. Lir.,estone bedrock is at a <br />depth of less than 20 inches. <br /> <br />~.e rsteri~l in areas x:,ere quarrying has been done and the area <br />s::co*_::^.ed cvcr r.nges frcr, very gravelly sand-/ loam to very gravelly <br />saZCir- clay loan and is variable in depth. • <br />nr, tae lower slopes below the quarry operation soils are generally <br />deeper.
