BOX 5183 T.A. 80217 DISPATCH ORDER 534-3161
May 24, 1978
Mr. Randy Overton
Mined Land Reclamation Board
1313 Sherman Street, Room 723
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Mr. Overton;
It is Mobile Premix Concrete's operating procedure in a dredge
type operation to strip only narrow zones in front of the dredge
arc. Usually these zones will be about 150 feet in width. The
longest arc at the Howe Pit is approximately 1,700 feet in the
first stage. The area of this segment would be approximately
5.85 acres. The average dredge arc would be about 800 feet
creating a stripped segment of about 2.75 acres.
It is our intention to continue this practice at the Howe Pit
so as to minimize the area disturbed at any one time.
Sincerely,
MOBILE PREMIX CONCRETE, INC.
~~~ ~~. ~ ~
Thomas W.
