<br />LEGAL NOTICE <br />WALDEN COAL COMPANY, P.O. Box 229, Boulder, Colorado 80306, <br />(303) 499-1441, has filed with the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology, an application for a permit renewal for the Bourg Mine <br />(Permit #C-81-021, approved April 21, 1993). The legal description <br />of the affected land is as follows: S1/2, SE1/4 Section 7 and <br />N1/2, NE1/4 Section 18, R9N, R78W, Jackson County, CO. The surface <br />of the permit area is owned by Nielson and Associates and Nucor Oil <br />& Gas, Inc. <br />The map (described below) indicates the town, water bodies, <br />local landmarks, and routes necessary to readily identify the <br />permit area. The postmining land use of the affected land is <br />rangeland. <br />U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute quadrangle map Eagle Hill contains the <br />described area of the operation which is located approximately 5 <br />miles northeast of Walden, Colorado on Jackson County Road 19. A <br />copy of the application is available for public inspection at the <br />Jackson County Courthouse, Walden, Colorado 80480. <br />• Written comments, objections, or requests for an informal <br />conference on the application may be submitted to, and additional <br />information obtained from, the Division of Minerals and Geology, <br />Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866- <br />3567.
