MINED ~ [JILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALDATIO~evised) <br />for limited impact and select regular mine applications <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining permit For: <br />Chartier Pit - Sand & Gravel - W'- <br />Name/Tvoe and Location <br />;,, Sec <br />Mine <br />T4N, R56W. <br />Wildlife Species list: <br />Deer, turkey, pheasant, quail, dove, rap tors, herons,. skunk, beaver, muskrat, <br />rabbits (2 species), coyote, fox, raccoon, squirrel, waterfowl and numerous <br />seasonal songbirds and rodents (common species) <br />Endangered/critical species/impacted: <br />No known threatened or endangered species. <br />Critical habitats/vegetative communities impacted: <br />Assessment of impact: <br />Impacts will be minor provided that no mining be done within 100 feet of the <br />slough and that no material be disposed of in the slough in such a manner as <br />to restrict the flow of water through it. <br />Mine Reclamation recommendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration <br />is designed). <br />The ponds that result from the excavation should be .sloped at no steeper than <br />3:1 in the upper 10 feet. Shorelines should be left in an irregular shape and a <br />small island left in the pond for waterfowl nesting.
