The study shall be adequate to locate, quantify, and demonstrate <br />the inter-relationship of the geology, topography, surface hydrology, <br />vegetation and wildlife. Baseline data will be established so that future <br />programs of observation can be incorporated at regular intervals for <br />comparison. ' <br />,The operator/lessee shall establish a monitoring system to locate, measure <br />and quantify the progressive and final affects of .underground mining <br />activities oa the topographic surface, underground and surface bydrology <br />and vegetation. The monitoring system shall utilize techniques which will <br />provide a'contiauing. record of.chaage over time aad'aa analytical method <br />for location and measurement of a avmber.of.points over the lease area. <br />Thq moditoring shall iaeorporate'and be an extension of the baseline data.. <br />If subsidence activates a landslide which adversely affects surface <br />• .,resources, or a documented water loss, the operator .shall (where <br />applicable);, ~~ <br />• 1: Restore stream channels sad surface drainage or protect'stream <br />flow with earthwork or temporary.
