(The interdisciplinary team could include: <br />geatechaical engineer, soils engineer, roads engineer, coal mining engineer <br />sad reclamation specialist.) Attributes constituting moderate geologic <br />hazard include stabilized earChflows, stabilized mudflows, stabilized <br />landslides; slopes adjacent to failed slopes or active earthflows, <br />mudflows, or landslides and avalanche chutes; areas of rockfalls and flash <br />flood areas. <br />Oa loads described below: <br />All or portions of Sec. 27, 29, 29, (30-BLM) , 32, 33,. 34, T13S, R90N, sad <br />all or portions of Sec. 3, 4, 9, 10, T14S, R90Fi, 6th PM with moderate <br />geologic hazards as generally delineated on the attached eiap prepared by <br />. Michael R..wazd on 12-i9-96. The map is for planning purposes, only. The . <br />application of .the definition of moderate geologic hazard to ground <br />conditions will determine whether the stipulation applies. In the event of <br />• .any conflict between written clauses of this stipulation and the map, the <br />stipulation clauses shall control.. All National Forest System sad 'Bureau' <br />, ~ ~' of Land Management 'lands within the leasehold~vhich are claseified~ as <br />having, moderate geologic hazazds fall under jurisdiction of this <br />stipu].atioa. ~ ' ' <br />•~. ~ Foe the purpose of: ~ ~ ~ ~ - <br />To insure the stability of facilities' req+~i~ed (such as roads,' waterlines; <br />water tanks, powerlines,~ ventilation shafts, ancillary ~buildiags, <br />drillpads, etc.). during the coal mining operations and to insure the <br />stability of lands adjacent~to these facilities. <br />It 'may lissome necessary for a.waivei-, exception ar modification (WSM) to <br />this stipulation for the operator/lessee to use the surface in the area <br />covered by this stipulation to allow for the recovery of the coal reserve. <br />WEM's to this stipulation will be considered only at the time operations <br />are proposed; .and will be subject to the Forest Land and Resource <br />Management Plaa in effect at the time .of consideration, and~will be subject <br />to applicable regulatory and enviro=unental compliance requirements. <br />Granting of a WEM is a sorest Service discretionary action which the. <br />operator should not routinely ~expect.~ The Forest Service reserves the <br />right to impose other stipuIaEioa3"ia the sattt~stea of chi's leasehold if a <br />WEM is granted. ~. ~ ~ ~. <br />Any changes to this stipulation will. be made in accordance with the land~uea <br />plan and/or the regulatory provisions'for such changes.
