FINAL CONTOURS
CHANGE IN ORIGINAL SURFACE ELEVATION
The following tables show the estimated change in the final
surface elevation of the mining area. The calculations
are based on an overburden bulking factor of 1.3. The final
thickness is the product of the overburden thickness times 1.3.
The overburden thickness is the original thickness minus the coal
thickness. The tables vary with coal thickness.
This table is the basis for the preparation of the final
contour map.
