j `
configuration of 3(horizontal) : 1(vertical), we recommend [hat [he topsoil layer be no greater than 4
inches in thickness. The depth of replaced topsoil can be greater for Fla[[er slope configurations.

~~
3) All cut and fill slopes and any other stripped azeas should be protected against erosion by revegeta[ion or
other methods. We recommend that the exposed slopes be revegetated as soon as is practical so that the
vegetation will have adequate time during the growing season to take root and help stabilize the upper
topsoil and overburden soils.
it should be noted tha[ some minor sloughing of the topsoil and near surface overburden soils could occur if the
surface and subsurface drainage conditions are not adequa[ely controlled.
LIMI"CATIONS
This report has been prepazed in accordance with generally accepted soil and foundation engineering practices in
this area. The conclusions and recommendations submitted in this report are based upon the data obtained from
the exploratory test holes drilled at the approximate locations shown on the site plan, as well as the supplementary
subsurface information provided by the client.
Professional judgments based on the subsurface conditions encountered are presented in this report. They aze
based partly on evaluation of technical information gathered, partly on our observations made during the field
investigation, partly on our understanding of the proposed slope configurations and construction techniques, and
panty on our experience with similar slopes and subsurface conditions. We do not guazantee the performance of
the project in any respec[; only that our engineering work and judgment rendered meet the standard of care in our
profession.
If you have any questions
us.
Sincerely,
NORTHWEST CO O
Brian D. Len, P.E
this report or if we may be of further service, please do not hesitate to contact
INC.
`25750 e
,~
Job No. 98-3504 Northwest Colorado Consultants, Inc.
Page 8
