We have reviewed the Request to be Exempt from Regulation Requiring Di9in-
fection - Drinking Water Supplies from the Colorado Westmoreland Water System
and find:
1. That the application meets the requirements prescribed in our
regulations for a request for a waiver.

2. That the evidence submitted is competent and establishes that
the water supplied by Colorado Westmoreland is reasonably safe
and free from contamination.
Accordingly, you are hereby granted a waiver from the requirement of disin-
fection of the Colorado Westmoreland water supply as provided in regulations
of this Department.
Notwithstanding this waiver, we still recommend the continuous disinfection
of the Colorado Westmoreland water supply as a safeguard against possible con-
lamination of the water supply. In granting this waiver, we inform you that
our regulations provide, "If at any time it appears that the water being furnished
is not reasonably safe to drink and in compliance with standards, the wavier
may be summarily withdrawn by the Department and notice given that disinfection
is required." You are requested to submit at least three water samples per month
for bacteriological testing.
