<br />t <br />ARIDIC HAPLOBOROLLS, COARSE-LOA,+IY, MIXED <br />The Aridic Haploborolls consist of deep well drained soils formed <br />from colluvium and alluvium derived from sandstone. They occur in <br />upland basins and on valley sideslopes and have slopes of 0 to 29 <br />percent. <br />Aridic Haploborolls are similar to and occur near Savage and <br />Coberly Variant soils, Savage soils have argillic horizons and fine <br />control section textures. Coberly Variant soils have mollic epipedons <br />greater than 16 inches deep and fine-Loamy control section textures, <br />Aridic Haploborolls also occur near Forelle and Rentsac deep Variant <br />soils. <br />. The soils of this map unit are classified as coarse-loamy, mixed <br />Aridic Haploborolls. <br />Typical pedon of Aridic Haploborolls, coarse-loamy, mixed, 9 <br />percent slope is located within 408,000N, 1,422,000E and 411,000N, <br />1,426,000E. <br />Alp--O to 17 inches; brown (lOYR 5/3) fine sandy loam, dark brown <br />(lOYR 4(3) moist; moderate medium granular structure; slightly hard, <br />very friable, slightly sticky and nonplastic; mildly alkaine, clear <br />smooth boundary. <br />A12--12 to 20 inches; brown (lOYR 5/3) fine sandy loam, dark brown <br />(lOYR 4/3) moist; massive; slightly hard, friable, slightly sticky <br />and nonplastic; moderately alkaline; gradual smooth boundary. <br /> <br />2-187 <br />
