t <br />slightly sticky, slightly plastic; common fine roots; neutral; clear <br />smooth boundary. <br />C1--6 to 37 inches; dark brown (lOYR 4/3) sandy clay loam (lOYR <br />3/2) moist; massive structure, hard, firm, slightly sticky, slightly <br />plastic, few fine roots, slightly effervescent with disseminated lime; <br />mildly alkaline; clear smooth boundary. <br />C2ca--37 to 60 inches; pale brown (lOYR 6/3) sandy clay loam, <br />dark grayish brown (2.SY 4/2) moist; massive structure; slightly hard, <br />friable, slightly sticky, slightly plastic, few fine roots; slightly <br />effervescent, lime occurs in common fine- sized filaments; mildly <br />alkaline. <br />The Al horizon ranges from 6 to 13 inches in thickness. It is <br />neutral or mildly alkaline in reaction. It has a value of 4 or 5 dry, <br />2 or 3 moist, and chroma of 2 or 3. <br /> <br />2-198 <br />
