~~
EXHIBIT E
will be seeded with fast-growing cover to minimize contamination and erosion. More detail may
be found in Section 4 of this Exhibit.
Reclamation will occur concurrent with mining of the pit, to whatever extent is practical,
reducing potential adverse impacts and reducing the volume of soils to be stockpiled at any one
time.
Planting will be done as part of the reclamation process. Around the perimeter of the reservoir
(above the normal water surface elevation), suitable growth media topsoil will have a minimum
depth of 12". Any other disturbed areas requiring grading, seeding, or planting wilt have a
minimum o~ of suitable growth media topsoil.
Rev~etation
The short-term objective of revegetation is the immediate stabilization of the disturbed site
following the conclusion of mining activities. This objective will be achieved through controlled
mining practices, construction and maintenance of erosion and sediment control facilities,
inclusion of rapidly developing species in the seed mixtures to be planted, proper seedbed
preparation to encourage rapid plant establishment, and mulch application. The long-term
objectives are to develop self-sustaining, productive plant communities on non-inundated
disturbed areas and to provide overall wildlife habitat values equal to those provided by the
vegetation communities existing_prior-to-disturbance. These objectives will be achieved through
the planting of adapted,/~n`ative perennial grass, forb shrub, and tree specie and by providing a
water feature in place of cu t[Tvate~-Ids.
Concurrent stabilization/revegetation will be completed where operations on an individual
disturbed site have been terminated and no further disturbances are anticipated.
Buildings and Structures
No buildings or structures existing or proposed are intended to remain onsite after reclamation
has been completed.
Siens and Markers
The operator will post a sign as per the requirements of Construction Materials Rule 3, section
3.1.12, consisting of:
a) The name of the Operator.
b) A statement that a reclamation permit for the operation has been issued by the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Board.
c) Permit number.
The boundaries of the permit area will be marked adequately to delineate affected areas where
mining and associated activities may occur.
