<br />• Water levels or water pressure have been trwac,~rwrl in 39 wells at Trapper
<br />Mine. Wells GE1, GF3, GD2, GP3, GP4, and well 81-03a are flowing wells and
<br />pressure readings on these wells have been converted to static water head in feet
<br />above land surface. Well GD1(2) is not measured for water level because a pump is
<br />installed in this well. Monitoring wells GD3, GF11, and GLUX-1 were installed in
<br />1988 and well GMP-1 was installed in 1990.
<br />The following wells were inaccessible due to snow during the first quarter
<br />of 1993, therefore no data were reported: GC1, GC2, GC3, GPI, GPZ, GP6, GP7, GPB,
<br />GP9, and COY. Well P1 had a blo~`k?eae that prevented the taking of an adequate
<br />sample and was considered "dry". This blockage was cleaned later in the year.
<br />Well P5 was covered with snow and could not be found. Well GD2 also had a frozen
<br />and broken well head baring that period.
<br />• The locations of these monitoring wells are shown on enclosed Maps No. 2-1
<br />through 2-3. Wells GD1(2) and GF1 are completed in the Twenty Mile Sandstone,
<br />while well GFZ is canpleted below the R coal in the U aquifer system. Seven wells,
<br />GA1, GE1, GD2, GF6, GP1, GP5, and GP6 are used to monitor the QR aquifer. Wells
<br />GA2, GB1, GF3, GP2, GP4, and GPS are used to monitor the KId~1 aquifer. Seven wells,
<br />GB5, GC1, GE2, GF4, GP3, GP7, and GMP-1 are used to observe changes in the HI
<br />aquifer. Wells GB2, GC2, P8, 81~3a, and GP9 are used to monitor the 3rd White
<br />Sandstone aquifer. Wells GE3 and P5 are car~leted in the ~d White Sandstone
<br />between the G and F coals, while GLUX-1 is used to monitor the First White
<br />Sandstone. Well P3 is perforated in the Lewis Shale. Four alluvial wells, GC3,
<br />P1, J1, and COY are used to monitor the Flume, Pyeatt, and Johnson alluviums.
<br />Wells GF5 and GF7 are completed in the bacl~ill aquifer in an area where the HI
<br />seams were mined. Wells GD3 and GF11 were completed in the la3ckfill aquifer in
<br />• areas where the QR aquifer was mined.
