Description - Use - Purpose
NaCN Sodium Cyanide. Solid pellets from Dow Chemical Company. Stage feeding
of a 5% solution in the grinding and lead flotation circuits. Functions
as a depressant for pyrite and sphalerite in lead flotation.
ZnSO4 Zinc Sulfate. So11d beads from various suppliers. Stage feeding of a
10% solution 1n the grinding and lead flotation circuits. Functions as
a depressant for sphalerite in lead flotation.
Na2503 Sodium Sulfite. Solid powder from various suppliers. Stage feeding of
a 10% solution in the grinding and lead flotation circuits. Functions
as a depressant for pyrite and sphalerite 1n lead flotation.
404 Liquid promoter (mineral col]ector) of unknown composition from American
Cyanamid Company, Stage feeding of a 10% solution in the grinding and
lead flotation circuits. Functions as the primary collector for gold,

feeding directly to the roughing and cleaning conditioners of zinc
flotation. Functions as a pyrite depressant in zinc flotation, also to
achieve an alkaline pH for tailings water treatment.
