The <br />permit can be conditionally approved and issued if a TSSP has not been obtained by the June <br />14, 2000 deadline. This would require an obligation to backfill the mined pit and to submit a <br />$2,395,679 bond. Or, as an alternative, the operator may choose to have the permit application <br />approved but not issued until a TSSP has been obtained. The permit will not issue until an <br />adequate bond has been received so the operator can delay submitting the bond until the TSSP <br />has been issued by Water Resources (the $25,477 bond amount would be required).
