The application was
received on August 1, 2005 and called complete for review on August 3, 2005. The
decision date for this application is November 1, 2005. As you are aware, the specialist
to whom this project was originally assigned is no longer with the Division. As a result,
this application was re-assigned to me on October 19, 2005. Unfortunately, this has not
allowed sufficient time to conduct a through preliminary adequacy review before the
original decision date. A cursory review of the application indicates that it is
substantially adequate, however, there aze at least three areas that will require further
action on the part of the applicant including agreements with structure owners, water
rights compliance, and water dischazge clarifications. Therefore, in order to adequately
review and transmit the Division's concerns, we aze asking that you consider requesting a
short extension which will allow a through and accurate initial adequacy review. The
review is currently underway and should be out within the next couple of days. If you aze_.
unable to request an extension, we will review our options at that time.
Please contact me at (303) 866-4926 at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter.
Sin r y, \
,V \v
Anthony aldron
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc:
Harry Posey-DMG
c~'w, ~ / ~
STATE OF COLORADO
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active artd Inactive Mines Geologiral Survey
