9.0 RESULTS <br />• If this irrigation study and these field trials fail-i.e. if aspens do not survive and/or do not produce <br />adventitious roots, which are likely to produce aspen stands-then SCC will re-evaluate these practices <br />and propose alternate post mine vegetation types. <br />If these studies and field trials prove successful then SCC will apply these techniques to the aspen <br />establishment plots as depicted in Exhibit 22-t and 22-1A, Post Mine Vegetation Map. <br />Due to the study design and the speed of aspen root development, SCC will make an evaluation of <br />these trials and tests by the fall of 2008. <br />*adventitious--roots arising or occurring sporadically or arising in other than the usual location; roots <br />suckering, sprouting, or spreading from a main stem. <br />• <br />• <br />TR-47 22-3-6 Revised 07/04 <br />
