EXFIIBIT "D" (Sheet 3 of 5 )
Reclamation Plan
Hauling or pulling scarifying equipment into remote areas and using them on these
steep hillsides would not in this Operator's opinion accomplish any better results.
Re-seeding the site would probably be done it either the late fall or early spring
depending on weather/soil conditions.
Not as yet having definite professional testing, or recommendations from any expert
in the field, the Operator can not at this time make any comment as to the type,
application or amounts of fertilizer/mulch products that would be necessary to be
utilized. The Operator has never had to use these applications to obtain as good
or better cover than "original" in this area.
c. As stated above in (a) the Operator intends to follow the recommmendations given
by the U.S. Forest Service as they are the official administrators for government
land in the National Forests. The attached directive entitled "Recormnended Seed
Mix, South Park Ranger District, Pike National Forest" gives specifics regarding
seeding, fertilizing, mulching etc.
d. The lower elevation seed mix would be used and the seed quantity would be doubled
because hand broadcasting is the only method readily- available to the Operator.
e. The Operator does not have this information at this time.
5. The t140 streams in the area are as shown on the "Affected Lands" map -Crystal
Creek and Beaver Creek - drainage to the "South Platte" river. There are no
ponds or buildings associated with this "Operation". The proposed future land use
would be forest land. All of the existing two track roads/trails were existing
before this "Operation came upon the scene. They have always been used by
surveyors, loggers, miners, ranchers, four wheelers, hunters, hikers, fishermen
and other recreationists.
b. Waste rock dumps or piles will be used to backfill open excavations. There are no
impoundments, underground mine openings, or buildings associated with this "Operation"
Measures to minimize disturbance to the hydrologic balance include, but are not
limited to the placing of excavated materials in berms and/or piles that tend to
defeat erosion from surface run-off waters.
The "Operator" sincerely hopes that questions have been answered satisfactorily.
If not, further information or details will be provided on request.
The unpatented lode mining claim involved with this "Operation" have been a part of
my interests for over thirty (j0) years. Previous partners,~associates and myself
have kept these claims valid by doing the assessment work required each year for
each claim. A few years ago the Operator acgiured sole interest in the claims
associated with this application. In the last few years the interest in, and the
value of the crystal mineral specimens has increased substantially.
