Sediment ponds for surface drainage from the disturbed area will be maintained until the
disturbed area has been reclaimed and the herbaceous cover on rangelands and grazing
lands have achieved the approved cover standard for the appropriate range site A, B, or C.
For croplands, no cover standard will need to be met prior to sediment pond removal since
there is no cover standard for reclaimed cropland.
In addition, Trapper will make a demonstration that the untreated postmine effluent will cease
to contribute additional suspended solids above baseline, and will meet applicable stote and
federal water quality standards for receiving waters.
PERMANENT RETENTION OF SEDIMENT PONDS
As approved in TR-94, the following ponds will be retained as permanent structures: No Name
#2, #4 and #5; Johnson #b, #7R, #SR, #9R and #IOR; West Pyeatt #1 and #2; East Pyeatt #1, #2
and #3; Grouse #1 and #2; Oak #1 and #2; West Flume #l; Middle Flume #1 and #3; East
Middle Flume #1; East Flume #1; Deer #1; Ute #1 and Horse Gulch #1.
4-198
