2.04.3 General Requirements: Site Description and Land
' Use Information.
(1) The premining land use of the permit area and
' adjacent areas is rangeland. There is no resi-
dential or commercial development within a mile
' of the mine. Cropland exists several miles to
the east, but the mine will have no effect on

it. There is pastureland close to the permit
' area but it has not been used for years, and
would not be effected by any mining activities.
' Wildlife is found throughout the permit and ad-
jacent areas, but for the past sixty years min-

t wildlife other than the loss of habitat on a
small two-acre area that is divided by the high-
' way. (See Exhibit 2-A.)
(2) The area affected by the surface operations and
