The minerals <br />are owned by the State of Colorado, and the surface by Fort <br />Carson. Also attached is a letter from DFC Ceramics, Inc. <br />authorizing me to act as their agent in the preparation sub- <br />mission and processing of this application. Enclosed is a <br />• company check for the $125.00 Application Fee, computed as <br />follows: <br />Basic Fee $ 25.00 <br />9.B A @ $10.00/A 100.00 <br />$125.00 <br />Clay has been mined in this area for the last 100 years - <br />both surface and underground. The applicant acquired the <br />lease in November 1989, and is in the process of obtaining <br />all the necessary permits. They have not mined on the prop- <br />erty and will not until all permits are in place. <br />I would be glad to accompany any member of the staff on a <br />site inspection.
