EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
As stated in the Mining Plan, Exhibit B, topsoil is scarce to
nonexistent. The clay seam overburden is caprock which will
be stockpiled on the south and east perimeters for
backsloping in reclamation. Backslopes will be finished at
3H:1V or flatter. The pit floor will be left level with a
slight pitch to the south to evidence positive drainage. The
pit floor will daylight to the existing contours on the south
and east perimeters. The north and west perimeters will be
backsloped as described above.
Fort Carson claims final jurisdiction over reclamation. We
are working with the E1 Paso County SCS office and the Fort
Carson Range Conservationist to develop the fertilization and
seeding mixture to be used. A copy will be sent to you for
inclusion in this file when finalized. Fort Carson is re-
• questing the applicant plant 100 seedlings per acre in recla-
mation. The applicant agrees to a one time planting of 100
seedling trees per acre of approximately 6" tall of a variety
common to the area, and will commit to the fertilization and
seeding plan developed.
•
