PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Oglebay Norton Industrial Sands, Inc., 3250 Drennan Industrial Loop, Colorado <br />Springs, Colorado, 80935, (719) 390-7969, has filed an application for a Regular <br />(112) Construction Materials Operation Reclamation Permit with the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board under provisions of the Colorado Land <br />Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction Materials. The proposed mine <br />is known as the Jemadojin Sand Mine and is located within Section 34, Township <br />16 South, and Section 3, Township 17 South, Range 62 West, 6th P.M., EI Paso <br />County. <br />The proposed date of commencement is summer 2006, and the proposed date of <br />completion is 2021. The proposed future use of the land is rangeland. <br />Additionai information and tentative decision date may be obtained from the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303} 866-3567; or at the EI Paso County Clerk & Recorder's <br />office; 200 S. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, (719) 520-6216; or <br />the above-named applicant. A complete copy of the application is available at <br />the EI Paso County Clerk & Recorder's office and at the Division's office. <br />Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Division of Minerals <br />and Geology by 4:00 a.m. on Aoril 3, 2006. <br />Please note that under the provisions of C.R.S. 34-32.5-909 et seq. Comments <br />related fo noise, truck traffic, hours of operation, visual impacts, effects on <br />property values and other social or economic concerns are issues not subject to <br />this Office's jurisdiction. These subjects, and similar ones, are typically <br />addressed by your local governments, rather than the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology or fhe Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />
