WILDLIFE INFORMATION <br />EXHIBIT H <br />A complete report on the wildlife use of the site was done by Savage and Savage of Denver based on <br />site visits conducted in 2002. This report is enclosed in Appendix D. <br />1. Significant Game Resources on the Affected Lands <br />Mule deer use the site since it is private and has the protection of cottonwoods near the River. <br />Interstate 70 at the south border of the property limits deer travel to the River. <br />2. Significant Non-Game Resources on the Affected Lands <br />Bald eagles and red-tailed hawks have been sighted in the area although no nests have been seen <br />within the vicinity of the peanit area. Prairie dogs, a blue heron and ring-necked pheasants were <br />also observed on the property. Cotton Tail Rabbits, Richardson Ground Squirrels, Mourning Doves, <br />Blue Herons, Racoons, Beavers, Ring-Necked Pheasants, Grouse, Quail, Canada Geese, various <br />duck species and songbirds use the area to some extent. Birds and small mammals can be found near <br />the drainage canals. <br />3. Seasonal Use of the Affected Lands <br />Most of the significant wildlife use the site year round. <br />4. Presence and Estimated Population of Threatened and Endangered species in the area. <br />None on the permit area but the endangered Pike Minnow, Humpback Chub and Razorback Sucker <br />are found in this area of the Colorado River.
