CHARLES AbID PAUL SII,ENGO <br />802 Jamica Drive <br />CYand Junction, Colorado 81501 <br />RE: IIt~ire Energy, Nbffat County <br />Application to Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />for a Coal Mining Permit <br />Dear Sirs: <br />fYrtpire Fhergy is in the process of developing a pe_-mit application <br />to submit to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board which demonstrates <br />ctn~liance with the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Board for <br />Coal Mining and the provisions of t~1e Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />F~clamation Act in order to continue their underground mining operation. <br />The Eagle Complex, which is the name of the operation, is located south <br />of Craig can be reached bl' taking State Highway 13 south approximately <br />13 miles. <br />In order to satisfy Rule 2.05.5(1)(b) of the above regulations, <br />EYsq~ire Fhergy must contact the surface owners and solicit cements on <br />the proposed post mining land use. As a surface owner of the land <br />within the permit area IIt~ire is therefore soliciting your comments <br />on the post mining land use detailed below. A speedy reply to this <br />request would be imst appreciated, as Empire Fhergy intends to submit <br />the application by February 17, 1981 to the Colorado Mined land R=_cla- <br />mation Division. <br />'II~e proposed post mining land use for the reclaimed areas falls <br />into tco categories. 'nwse being: cropland (dryland wheat or other <br />dryland crops and pastureland), and rangeland/wildlife habitat.
