Doc Date:12/11/2001 III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />sss <br />• sly <br />«2.05.2 Operation Plan ~~ <br />The operation will be a surface, partial ridge nose <br />removal strip coal mine and coal processing facility using <br />surface mining equipment such as bulldozers, front end loaders, <br />trucks, small dragline, scrapers, drills, and blades. The <br />processing equipment will consist of a crusher, screen, feeder, <br />and several small stacking conveyors. <br />The topsoil and overburden will be removed from above the <br />coal seam, the coal will be mined and processed, and the area <br />will be reclaimed. <br />The operation is designed to maximize the recovery of coal <br />• by using the safest and most suitable equipment and techniques <br /> possible, utilizing the most current and proven mining <br />engineering practices. <br />The mining and reclamation plan will provide for maximizing <br />the preservation of topsoil by proper removal, storage, and <br />replacement to ensure revegetation compatible with approved land <br />usa. <br />Unnecessary disturbance will be prevented by vehicles and <br />equipment remaining on designated roads within the permit area. <br />In general, mining practices will ensure the confinement ofi <br />disposal and waste areas to the permit area to ensure the <br />highest environmental protection possible, and prevent any <br />adverse affects to society or the rights of adjacent landowners. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
