This additional
disturbance is due to the shaft site being closer to the side
slope of the Canyon than was originally anticipated. A current
survey of the site has been accomplished and a revised site
plan accompanies this letter.
The two short lenp, ths of access road that you observed
being straightened on your recent field inspection will be
reclaimed this fall following the project completion. Straight-
ening of the access road was done to eliminate two sharp curves
in the road that will allow the ]arpe equipment necessary for
the shaft boring to negotiate these curves.
Three drill holes were drilled in con, junr.tion with this
shaft project. Two drill holes have beer. sealed and the third
drill hole will be used to bring electrical power from under-
ground to the site. The drill sites will be reclaimed this
year, although Drill Hole !f1 (electrical hole) will not be
plugged until mine closure. CF~T coordinates of the drill
holes are listed on the attached sheet.

~'L -~ Z
x/98
