<br />The following is an estimate of indirect costs associated with the reclamation of the <br />Hayden Gulch Loadout. <br />Mobilization and Demobilization Costs. Mobilization antl demobilization casts were based <br />on mobilizing the major pieces of equipment. The guidelines set forth in the OSMRE <br />Reclamation Hond Handbook places a value of mobilization and demobilization at one percent <br />to five percent of the direct costs. Hayden Gulch Terminal used the five percent. <br />Engineering Redesign Fee <br />Some projects may need preplanning or re-engineering prior to reclamation. To account for <br />these costs, Graph 1, OSMRE Reclamation Bond Handbook was used to estimate these fees. <br />This was estimated at 6.5 percent of the direct costs. <br />Contractor Profit and Overhead <br />Profit and overhead for the contractor was estimated using Graph 2, OSMRE Reclamation Hond . <br />Handbook. This was estimated at 10 percent of the tlirect costs. <br />Reclamation Management Fee <br />This fee represents the cost for management of the entire project. Usually this is <br />performed by a firm specializing in reclamation oversight. This was estimated per Graph <br />3, OSMRE Reclamation Hond Handbook at 5.0 percent of the direct costs. <br />Public Liability Insurance <br />This insurance protects the contractor against his legal liability to third persons for <br />bodily injury and property damage arising out of his own operations. This cost has been <br />estimated at 1.55 percent of the direct costs. <br />• <br />6 Revised 06/00 <br />
