Facility Areas. After the buildings are demolished and disposed, the site is reclaimed.
Three feet of material wi 11 be ripped in the facilities area. The top one foot of •
gravel/scoria surfacing on the parking/storage areas will be dozed into a cut or low area
adjacent to the facility. This material will be covered during the grading process.
Concrete foundation areas will be hauled to a railroad cut area for disposal. The three
monitoring wells will be properly abandoned.
Miscellaneous Otilities. Underground utility reclamation, including phone lines, water
lines, and powe rl fines, will be abandoned in place.
Sediment Ponds. The two sediment ponds will be totally reclaimed. Location of all
impoundments can be found on Exhibit 12-2. Material adjacent to the ponds will be used to
fill the ponds in.
Road Reclamation. There are approximately 2000 ft. of haul roads that will be reclaimed,
and 2900 feet of ramp roads that will be reclaimed. It was assumed that this could be
accomplished in three 8-hour shifts by a D10N dozer. ***
Railroad. The track and ties will be removed from the site. Costs for this operation
were determined using MEANS. Ballast will be picked up and loaded by scraper to cut areas
that will be covered with adjacent slope material. Please see FPC sheets for calculation
of ballast removal costs. Cut areas will not require the disposal of ballast material due
to the fact that these areas will be filled in anyway.
Prior to pushing material into a cut area, the topsoil will be dozed out of the way.
Once the area has been graded, the topsoil will be respread with dozers. After the areas
have been topsoiled, then revegetation can take place.
Coal Stockpile. It is assumed that 50 percent of the coal stockpile would have to be
disposed. This material is in close proximity to the railroad cut that has to be filled
in. It can be pushed to the cut area and covered with four feet of suitable material from
the side slopes.
Finish Grading. A cost has been estimated to finish grade the area with a D11N Dozer.
This was based on CDMG estimated time frame of 67.31 hours. '**

q Revised O6/00
