~ Noise
On June 18, 1981 existing ambient Db levels were taken at three
• places on the periphery of the property and a fourth on Nome
Street, 200 feet west of the existing crusher to the south.
These results showed the greatest noise generators are exist-
ing truck traffic on Nome, 132nd, and US 85 and overhead air-
• craft from Stapleton. In addition, although no trains passed
on the U.P. tracks ac ross US 85 during the time these Db
measures were taken, on previous visits to the site vibration

I and noise from passin g trains was very noticeab3e.
•
The results on June 1 8, 1981 were:
' Location Ambient Db Source and Amount in
Noise Level Excess of Ambient Db Levels
•
132nd and US 85 50-55 US 85 traffic - 65-85
132nd and Nome 55-65 US 85 traffic and air-
craft - 65-85
o
• Nome and South 50-55 US 85 traffic and air-
Property Line craft - 65-80
Nome - 200' West 50-55 Nome traffic - 85
of crusher Crusher - 72
Loader - 75
• US 85 traffic - 75-80
Thus the proposed ope ration will not increase beyond what is oc-
curring naturally sin ce the levels of the uses it is replacing
(loader and crusher) is the same or less than is occurring from
• traffic and aircraft generation.
•

~•
~•
~•
•
