Ai so <br />included are small areas of Clovis soils and tieville soils occurring on <br />alluvial fans. <br />The Pinon soil Ss shallow and well drained. It formed in residuum <br />derived dominantly from sandstone and shale. Slope is 3 to 3G percent. <br />Typically, the surf~3ce layer is brawn loam about 5 inches thick. The <br />underlying ¢aterial to a depth of 16 inches is pinkish white loam. Hard <br />sandstone is at a depth of 16 inches. In some areas the surface layer is <br />gravelly loam, gravelly sandy loam, sandy loam, or cobbly loam. <br />
