• EXHIBIT H
WILDLIFE INFORMATION
This area is occupied by two related but different
habitat areas. The Schmidt area is contiguous with and
essentially identical to the area included in the original
application to the north. Therefore the wildlife resources
on the Schmidt area is the same as it is on the original
area. The wildlife on the Cline area is somewhat different
because the vegetation and topography is also different.
The Cline area probably has more rabbits and song bird
species, but the shrublands here are not extensive enough to
support any large differences.
Two Division of Wildlife evaluations are included. One
is the same as is found in the original pit area. The other
covers the Cline area in Section 24. A.s can be seen, the
species list differences are very small and, because of the
qualitative nature of the species list, the differences are
probably of little significance. This fundamental
similarity of the two areas is reflected in the assessments.
Both state that the Division of Wildlife does not expect the
• negative impacts to be of significance.
Habitat loss and displacement of the existing wildlife
will be the only impact. Although such an impact cannot be
mitigated during the operation, the reclamation work will
basically return the area to a condition so most of these
species could live there again.

- 20 -
