EXHIBIT D
Reclamation Plan
RECEIVE®
AUG 2 72003
pivisi°n °S Minerals and GflalflpY
As soon as the processed material on the north side of topsoil pile A is moved, then
topsoil pile A will be spread on slopes at a 3:1 grade covering the shaded area. It will
then be seeded using NRCS recommended seed mixture. The remaining areas of the pit
will be reclaimed in the same manner after the gravel has been mined.
We estimate the cost of reclamation at $10,000.00 which would include:
a) Approximately 12 inches of overburden will be replaced after the excavation is
complete.
b) The maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes will be 3:1 - 50% of the yardage at a
rate of $1.50 per yard and 50% at $1.25 per yard.
c) Plant growth medium will be salvaged during mining and replaced at an average
thickness of 2 inches. No sample analyses of soils will be conducted.
d) No ponds, streams, roads or buildings will remain after reclamation.
e) Soil replacement and seeding will be completed once the mining has been
completed. Topsoil will be replaced at a depth of at least 6 inches. The following
proposed seed mixture will be drilled as per NRCS recommendation:
S ecies
Timothy
Orchardgrass
Green Needlegrass
Tall Fescue
Western Wheatgrass
Alsike Clover
White Dutch Clover
Total
Rate llbs/acre PLSI
0.5
1.0
2.0
1.5
2.5
1.0
1.0
9.5
f) The existing haul road wilt not be ripped or seeded.
$2, 500.00
This reclamation work would be done by Glenn E. Sessions & Sons, Inc. using necessary
equipment as per attached Rate Sheet (EXHITIB D-1).
